The elite track cycling national championships were held October 3rd-6th in Carson, CA (LA) at the indoor 250 meter wood velodrome at the ADT Event Center. They were my primary goal for the season as a win is the surest way to make it onto what is essentially the national track cycling team. In order to participate in the 2008 track cycling Olympic qualifier you must be on this ‘national team.’ Well in a word I would describe my 2007 nationals as disappointing. For me, personally that is it. It was disappointing because I did not do as well as I had hoped nor as well as I think I was capable of doing.
