I was in the first qualifier heat (round) for the points race. 20 guys in the race and top 8 advance to the final. A 60 lap (15km) race with 6 intermediate sprints (a sprint for points every 10 laps) with pouts going to the top four in each sprint (5, 3,2,1). Well I initiated a break of four by attacking after the second sprint. I won a sprint off the front and then we lapped the field. So I was 2nd in my qualified heat and advance to the final which will be in a few hours.
The final will be longer and harder so obviously it will be tougher.
Go to that ustream site to watch it. I have no real idea of what time but try 6:30-7:30 pacific.
Oh and also cristin walker ualified first for the women’s sprints with a 200 time of 12:101. Cari higgins qualified second in 12.3 or 4 something (I think)
Thanks for reading,

Sorry, I just now saw the request to also do a full start list for the women’s points… next time perhaps.
Ahh…the cycleloft… the boys are doing fine. They are in the stall just next to me. For those that don’t know, which is most, I bought my first ever legit bike from the Cycleloft as a freshman in college. I joined the BC cycling club and that was my start. I bought the bike from the Cycleloft up in the Boston ‘burbs as they were the team’s sponsor shop at the time.
